Local search across your profile and website

Local SEO services for your business and service area

If nearby customers cannot find your business, I would first check where the gap occurs. A missing Maps result, an unhelpful service page and a broken booking link call for different work. Local SEO connects your Google Business Profile with the website and business information customers use to decide whom to contact.

The first diagnosis across Maps and your website

I review your operating model before recommending new pages or profile edits. A shop receiving visitors has different address requirements from a business visiting customers. Google's business representation guidelines determine eligibility. The website needs to describe the same business, with a contact route that customers can use.

From there, the review compares your services with the pages already published, checks important business listings and follows the path from search to an enquiry. An outdated directory entry is one issue. A page that never explains the service or the area covered is another. The priorities depend on the evidence found.

A local search plan tied to the operating model

Confirm the business

Record the services, customer-facing hours and areas served. Establish whether customers visit you, you visit them, or both.

Compare the public information

Review the profile alongside the website and selected business listings. Document conflicting facts and incomplete contact paths.

Assign the changes

Decide which profile corrections, page improvements and listing updates are justified. Give each action an owner and a way to check completion.

Measure the same scope

Compare dates, queries and locations consistently. Check the published changes before using a later measurement to judge progress.

Proposed work sequence. The findings determine the actions and the implementation scope.

Decisions and deliverables for the agreed scope

AreaWhat you receive
Business informationA record of approved business facts and discrepancies across the profile, website and selected listings.
Local pagesA page map identifying content to improve, consolidate or create, with a customer purpose for each proposed URL.
ImplementationPrioritized tasks with responsibilities, access requirements and checks for the published result.
MeasurementA baseline and review plan separating profile interactions, organic website activity and confirmed enquiries where your tracking supports them.

Evidence for choosing the next change

My approach connects page-level diagnosis to the local profile. If a customer reaches your site from Maps, the destination should explain the relevant service and how to contact you. Adding more area names would leave that problem unresolved.

You can inspect my published comparison of Toronto immigration-lawyer search results for an example of the research format. It is a dated public analysis rather than client work. It shows the observed pages and reasoning, without claiming that I produced those businesses' rankings.

Google describes local results as depending on relevance, distance and prominence. I cannot guarantee a Maps position. A measurement should record where and when it was taken, because a result observed from one location does not establish visibility throughout your service area.

Access and service fit

The work needs owner-approved business information and access appropriate to the agreed tasks. Profile management, website publishing and analytics may belong to different people. We assign those responsibilities before implementation, and scope ongoing content or maintenance separately.

This service fits an eligible local business needing coordinated work across its profile and website. For a contained profile correction, use Google Business Profile optimization. A franchise with separate operators needs franchise SEO to address permissions and standards across its units.

Common questions

Do I need a page for every city I serve?

A city name alone does not justify another page. I would assess the service, customer question and information available for each proposed page. Areas with no distinct purpose can be covered together instead of publishing repeated copy.

Can local SEO help a business without a shopfront?

Google permits eligible businesses that travel to customers. The service model and address settings must follow its rules. An online-only business needs a website search strategy and should not assume it qualifies for a Business Profile.

Does a profile call count as a new customer?

Google's call metric counts clicks on the call button. It does not establish a completed conversation or sale. The reporting plan keeps those interactions separate from enquiries your business can verify.
