Hair transplant, PRP, and SMP - why Google Maps winners change with the query

Build a query-to-page coverage map from services your clinic actually offers.

Francisco Leon de Vivero
Francisco comparing transplant, PRP and SMP search results

CADMEN Clinic led the saved PRP hair Toronto result, while The Toronto Hair Transplant Clinic led transplant and restoration. The scalp-micropigmentation search produced another set of leaders. For a clinic offering several services, I would build the content plan around those separate searches before deciding that a single hair-loss homepage provides enough coverage.

The November 6, 2026 Toronto study makes that decision concrete. It follows five local searches into the grid results, the public Services inventories and the websites of CADMEN and Leader A. The result is a proposed query-to-page map with verification tasks beside the gaps. No page addition in this study was tested as a ranking intervention.

This is part 2 of a two-part Toronto hair-loss Maps study dated November 6, 2026. Part 1 compares Map Pack position with review count in Map Pack vs review count - what Toronto hair-loss clinics show us.

At a glance. Define the services offered at each location, then connect each priority search with a useful destination. Keep the profile inventory separate from the website hierarchy and measure coverage per query. PRP and SMP had screenshot evidence here, but neither had a completed geographic grid.

Five service searches and different competitors

The desktop captures were in English and centred on downtown Toronto, at 43.6532, -79.3832. “Organic” in this comparison means non-sponsored local Maps or Places results. These are not the ordinary website results below a local pack. Advertisements were excluded from the position count, even when they appeared above the first organic business.

The primary hair-loss result put CADMEN second, with a 4.9 rating and 165 reviews. Its first position for PRP made it relevant to a treatment-specific comparison even though it did not lead the umbrella list. SMP required another competitor set altogether. Assuming the transplant leader also led SMP would have hidden the most useful planning observation in these captures.

Location identity needs the same care as query identity. Sure Hair's restoration result was the Adelaide Street location, while the primary expanded list included a Scarborough location. HAIRTATTOO shared 600 Sherbourne St #605 with the primary #3 listing. An address match alone does not establish that two listings represent the same entity, so their results remain separate.

Sponsored rows and capture limits

The wider transplant, restoration and SMP screenshots included sponsored entries above the organic results. The PRP capture did not show a sponsored row before its list. That is a dated interface observation, without a conclusion about demand or the difficulty of competing for PRP.

A list cropped to the organic leaders is useful for comparing businesses, but it cannot explain the complete visible experience. Retaining the wider views prevents an advertisement from being reported as organic #1. If your team combines screenshots from several searches, each caption should retain the query and the surface instead of using a generic “Google rank” label.

Service divergence across the measured grid

The geographic baseline covered 20 enabled downtown land points across three queries. Its saved settings were English Google Maps organic results on google.ca, with a mobile Android device configuration. This differs from the desktop screenshot set. Compare like conditions when repeating the measurement rather than treating all observations as interchangeable.

The difference within CADMEN's results deserves more attention than a blended average. It had Top 3 presence for the umbrella query at 25%, then 0% for transplant and 5% for restoration. The finding does not establish a missing transplant service. Its sampled website navigation was non-surgical, so a content recommendation must begin with what the business offers rather than what a search tool can measure.

CADMEN's Top 10 figures were 63.2% for hair loss clinic, 70.6% for transplant and 57.9% for restoration. Its corresponding mean ranks when found were 4.33, 7.33 and 7.50. This shows how a business can appear within a longer list without frequently entering the leading three results. Calling that business simply “visible” would conceal the distinction that matters to the diagnosis.

Each percentage uses eligible points with known identity under the export's definitions. Denominators differ between metrics, and mean rank when found excludes absence. The full reports retain those conditions. Their shared report header names the original Leader A scan, while the “Showing” line identifies CADMEN or the Sherbourne listing in the respective report.

There was no PRP grid and no SMP grid. CADMEN's PRP screenshot leadership cannot be converted into a geographic coverage percentage, and another service's heatmap cannot fill the gap. A proposed measurement task should state that absence explicitly. The review-count chapter uses the same baseline to compare Leader A with FCP and Padra.

Profile services and query intent

Maps place overviews identified Leader A's primary as Hair transplantation clinic, CADMEN's as Medical spa and the Sherbourne listing's as Hair replacement service. Expanded Search also displayed Hair replacement service for CADMEN. This chapter uses the Maps primary for consistency and retains the disagreement as an unresolved public-label difference.

The Services inventory is a separate layer. Its headings and visible entries tell us what appeared in that interface, but do not establish owner-selected secondary categories. For a clinic's own profile, the inventory should be reconciled with an approved location-specific service list before any changes are proposed.

CADMEN's eight visible Services entries

The captured panel was headed Medical Spa. It listed Hair Loss (PRP), IV Therapy, Botox® And Equivalents, Dermal Fillers, Under-Chin Fat Melting, Belly Fat Melting, Oxygel Facial and vCarbon Treatment. Hair Loss (PRP) was the single hair-related entry among those eight visible lines.

That narrow hair entry coexisted with CADMEN's first organic position in the PRP screenshot. A longer hair-service list is therefore not a requirement we can infer from this comparison. Nor does the panel establish the complete service offer at every CADMEN location. The useful check is whether each visible item is accurate for the pin and whether the website destination explains it appropriately.

Leader A's repeated FUE labels

Leader A's opened panel had a long transplant-oriented inventory, including several near-duplicate FUE spellings alongside adjacent aesthetics. Visible entries included Beard Transplant, Cold Laser Therapy, Cosmetic Procedures, Cosmetic Surgery and Eye Brow, followed by the repeated FUE labels and other hair-related services.

The capture verifies the visible list, with full-scroll completeness still unknown. I would use it to check inventory clarity rather than copy its repetition. The study does not isolate a ranking effect from the service labels, and CADMEN's much shorter visible hair inventory makes a list-length explanation especially weak.

The Sherbourne listing's three-scroll inventory

The primary #3 listing had an extensive inventory across three captured scroll positions, under Wellness Center and Hair Replacement Service headings. It included SMP and scalp-micropigmentation phrases, PRP, trichology and hair-loss-treatment terms, with consultation and assessment entries.

The merged visible topics also included AAPE, Pharma Hermetic, Theradome or laser references, alopecia variants and transplant-scar treatment. Regeneration, thickening and maintenance wording appeared alongside named products. An exact unique count was not established because repeated entries across scrolls were not fully reconciled. The headings should not be recast as verified secondary categories.

Its Top 3 grid presence was 25% for hair loss clinic and 0% for both transplant and restoration. A long inventory consequently cannot substitute for query-specific measurement. The service-heavy business name is also recorded as a caution, with no recommendation to reproduce keyword lists in another clinic's name.

CADMEN's non-surgical website journey

CADMEN's homepage gave a visitor a different starting point from Leader A's transplant category. The H1 was Your Home for Thicker, Fuller Hair. The opening paired that outcome with non-surgical restoration and a route into a hair quiz or booking. This is useful evidence of presentation, without establishing the effectiveness of the treatments or the site's contribution to Maps position.

The description's patient figure is CADMEN's site claim. It was not reconciled with individual patient records or converted into a service result. Likewise, the following figures show the saved website rather than a current endorsement of its marketing language.

The title starts with the brand and then names the service and three cities. Its benefit-led H1 does not contain that full service-and-location description. Those choices are worth evaluating against the visitor's entry point, but their existence does not support an automatic rewrite. The page already addresses a density problem that a category-only heading could overlook.

CADMEN's navigation. PRP, mesotherapy and exosome destinations appear with location links. Saved November 6, 2026.

The sampled navigation contained PRP, mesotherapy and exosome destinations. No surgical transplant offer was found in that sampled menu. A responsible coverage map would preserve that distinction instead of commissioning a transplant page simply because the market includes that search. An SEO opportunity only becomes a service-page brief after the business confirms the offer.

Reviews, locations and the Toronto destination

The homepage displayed 1,000+ Google Reviews and a 4.9/5.0 claim, with review cards further down the page. The Toronto Maps listing had 165 reviews in the capture. The study did not establish the population behind the on-site figure, so it should not be reported as the review count of that one pin.

This is a useful reconciliation task for a multi-location business. Identify which locations a trust claim covers and make the scope understandable to visitors. A combined or differently scoped figure must remain distinct from a location-level Maps count. Nothing in this comparison establishes that the difference caused stronger or weaker visibility.

No Google Maps iframe was detected on the homepage in the saved pass. The site directed visitors through locations, with a Toronto Queen West page supplying Queen and University and Osgoode context. A homepage map absence therefore does not establish that local information is missing from the whole site. Inspect the location destination before adding another module or creating another page.

The PRP page and its FAQ

The saved PRP page at /services/prp-hair-restoration used the lead heading The power of your own plasma. The audit did not detect an H1 element in that page's DOM, with the lead rendered as an H2. That is a structural check for the page template, separate from deciding whether its explanation serves a visitor.

The homepage had no FAQ block in the captured inspection, while the PRP page had the Your questions, answered accordion. Its topics included what PRP is, results timing and candidacy. A homepage-only checklist would have missed those answers and produced an inaccurate sitewide conclusion. For another clinic, the audit should follow the actual service journey before declaring questions unanswered.

The later scorecard found no items detected in CADMEN's saved homepage Rich Results Test, consistent with the earlier source check that found no homepage JSON-LD. That finding describes the inspected page and test. It does not establish that the whole site lacks structured data, or that schema explains the PRP position.

Leader A's transplant route alongside CADMEN

Leader A's homepage H1 was Hair Transplant Clinic, and its title was Hair Transplant Experts | The Toronto Hair Transplant Clinic. The description mentioned Toronto and restoration, while a partnership overlay and procedure-volume claims could precede or accompany the service explanation. Its navigation then gave visitors surgical destinations alongside adjunct treatments.

Compared with CADMEN's sampled non-surgical menu, Leader A's Treatments list included FUE, beard and eyebrow transplant paths, with PRP and Scalp Micro-Pigmentation among the related destinations. That architectural difference is consistent with the transplant-versus-PRP screenshot pattern. It remains a hypothesis about relevance rather than an identified ranking mechanism.

The FUE screenshot and dedicated FAQ demonstrate more than service labels. They provide destinations for a process explanation and follow-up questions. A clinic adopting this planning approach should brief its own verified offer, using clinician-approved wording, instead of copying another site's clinical claims or assuming the same page structure will produce the same position.

The Leader A and FCP comparison contains the complete title, review, map and FAQ analysis for Leader A. It also examines why existing hair-service pages inside a dermatology site require a different diagnosis from a missing-service claim.

The optional pack #3 website caution

An earlier successful fetch of hairlossclinic.ca returned a hair-loss homepage and service-oriented wording. Another fetch encountered a Cloudflare challenge. The saved capture is therefore partial evidence of the site, rather than a basis for declaring the entire website consistently accessible or inaccessible.

Earlier successful homepage capture of hairlossclinic.ca. Another fetch encountered a challenge, so evidence remains partial. Saved November 6, 2026.
Earlier successful homepage capture of hairlossclinic.ca. Another fetch encountered a challenge, so evidence remains partial. Saved November 6, 2026.

The source check found placeholder address and phone values in structured data, including 123 Clinic St. Those values are a data-quality flag and must not be treated as the clinic's verified NAP. A convincing service heading does not validate the underlying contact information. The same caution applies to the service-heavy profile name, whose visibility cannot make it a recommended naming model.

For your own site, compare the location shown to visitors with the structured-data fields and the actual Maps pin. Keep unverified values out of the approved facts sheet. An implementation task should have a specific field to correct, supported by a business record, rather than a vague instruction to “add more local schema”.

A query-to-page coverage map

Begin with the services available at each location and the correct booking destination. The following is a proposed planning map for a clinic that has confirmed the relevant offers. It does not claim that every business in this study provides all five services.

Search family Proposed page role Verification before writing Measurement need
Hair loss clinic + city Clinic or category entry Business identity, location and actual service range Umbrella-query grid
Hair transplant + city Surgical service destination Offer, clinician-approved process and location Separate transplant baseline
Hair restoration + city Hub or distinct service, depending on the offer Decide its relationship with existing pages Restoration results and overlap check
PRP hair + city Treatment destination Confirm availability and review clinical wording PRP grid still missing here
Scalp micropigmentation + city SMP destination Confirm service and suitable local route Separate competitors and SMP grid

Restoration needs a deliberate role. If it describes several existing services, a hub may help visitors choose an appropriate destination. If the clinic uses it for a distinct offer, that destination needs its own brief. Creating two pages with the same explanation and different keywords would leave the distinction unresolved.

Attach an owner to every gap. The clinic confirms service availability. A clinician reviews medical statements and questions about suitability. The content owner checks whether an existing destination can be improved before requesting a new page. The analyst records the query and conditions for a baseline. These responsibilities prevent a search observation from becoming an unsupported service claim.

Local detail should help someone reach the clinic. Apply a city-swap check to proposed copy. If replacing Toronto with another city changes nothing useful, verify the actual location information and booking route before calling the page locally useful. A city name repeated in headings cannot provide those details, and the check does not justify pages for locations the clinic does not serve.

A backlog tied to measurable questions

The later scorecard classified 17/25 indexable CADMEN pages, or 68%, as service-fit under its method. Leader A's final brand-stripped measure was 403/468, or 86.1%. Those percentages describe a content classification with a defined denominator. They are not quality scores or proof that publishing more pages improves Maps coverage.

Proposed task Reason in this study Completion evidence
Verify the offer at each pin Public labels and site navigation differ Approved location-service facts
Reconcile Services with page destinations Inventory length did not predict the query split Confirmed item-to-page map
Review existing PRP journey Homepage-only FAQ checks missed service answers Reviewed service page and booking route
Resolve restoration-page roles Umbrella wording can overlap distinct offers Brief with each destination's purpose
Establish PRP and SMP grids Screenshots cannot establish geographic coverage Saved scans with comparable conditions
Track enquiries per destination Rank and patient enquiries are different measures Documented call or form attribution

Review the map when services change or a competitor repeatedly enters a priority result set. Keep Maps coverage separate from enquiries, with the same query and location identity retained across comparisons. This research contains no conversion outcomes and no before-and-after implementation test.

The unresolved category-label conflict, incomplete Services inventories and missing PRP/SMP grids belong in the next investigation. They should remain explicit even if the website work proceeds. A local SEO planning review can turn an approved service list and existing URLs into that backlog, with a specific evidence requirement for each action. The practical decision is which visitor journey needs attention first, rather than how many service pages can be commissioned at once.

Questions about service-page planning

Were PRP and SMP measured across the geographic grid?

No. The completed grid covered hair loss clinic, hair transplant and hair restoration across 20 enabled downtown land points. PRP and SMP remained screenshot observations. Their geographic coverage requires separate measurement.

Does every query need a new page?

An existing destination may already answer the visitor's question. Confirm the service and location, decide the page's role, then review overlap before commissioning another URL. Restoration may be a hub or a distinct offer depending on the clinic's actual services.

Did CADMEN lack a FAQ?

The homepage inspection found no FAQ block, but the PRP service page had an accordion covering visitor questions. A homepage-only check would miss that destination and cannot support a sitewide absence claim.
