YouTube Auto-Detection
Paste a YouTube URL in the Content URL field and the tool will automatically extract the video ID, populate the embed URL, and set the thumbnail to YouTube's highest-resolution image. You can override the thumbnail afterward if needed.
Thumbnail Requirements
Google requires thumbnails to be at least 112x112 pixels. Recommended resolution is 1280x720 (16:9 aspect ratio). The thumbnail must be crawlable and indexable — don't block it in robots.txt.
Duration Format
Enter duration as HH:MM:SS (e.g., 01:30:00 for 1.5 hours or 00:05:45 for 5 minutes 45 seconds). The tool converts this to ISO 8601 format (PT1H30M0S) automatically, which is what Google expects.
Content URL vs Embed URL
contentUrl should point to the actual video file or page (e.g., a YouTube watch URL). embedUrl should point to the embeddable player (e.g., youtube.com/embed/ID). Including both gives Google more context.
Interaction Statistics
Adding view counts (interactionStatistic) is optional but recommended. It signals engagement and can influence how prominently your video appears in search results and carousels.
Expires Date
Only set an expires date if the video will genuinely become unavailable after that date. Setting a false expiration can cause Google to stop showing your video in results prematurely.
